The Ruby Rehaul
I finally got around to transferring my old portfolio that was running on Wordpress, to a new CMS called refinery that runs on Ruby on Rails. There are many reasons, but the biggest reason revolved around the I have been doing a lot of Ruby work recently at my job. We are doing are best to switch all new sites we build from Drupal/PHP to Refinery/Ruby. I've spent the last few months building sites in Refinery and since my portfolio needed rebuilding, it was a logical choice.
Also, one of the great things about using the Rails framework is that I can host my site on Heroku for free. No costs. I'll soon be writing articles on how to create and customize your own sites using Refinery CMS and how to host it on Heroku. The Refinery CMS is very customizable, but sadly there's not much documentation out there. Hopefully, that'll change soon.
